Cocoons
There is an increase in pests in the Portland, Oregon area. It is vitally important that people who are keeping Mason Bees as a hobby be meticulous in cleaning cocoons in the fall. If you are interested in purchasing cocoons, send an email to leah@TheAbundantBees .com. Cocoons are $.75 each.

Mini-blocks are easy to switch out as the tubes fill up. Helps keep parasites out of developing bees.
Bee Blocks are reusable year after year. Cocoons are removed during October/November.
Nesting Tubes
Kraft Tube with pre-slit inner liner – $0.50 each set
Kraft outer tube – $0.30 each tube tubes can be used for several years
White paper tubes are a one-time use. Pre-slit tubes are perfect for harvesting cocoons in the fall. The slit makes it easy to get the cocoons out. Slide a pencil along the inside and the slit opens and the cocoons fall out. So fast and easy!
